Mary Katherine Ham notes that Hillary is starting to ask about what to do with the Michigan and Florida delegates. MKH puts it in a Hillary is desperate light. I actually think Hillary has a case - not just because I want to see more chaos.
How can Obama claim to be the legitimate nominee, to super-delegates or in the general election, if he only earned that title by disenfranchising voters in two of the most populous, and most competitive, states?
I am also troubled by the idea that the DNC, not state legislators and governors, have sovereignty in determining the timing of elections. And if the DNC can strip delegates based on the timing of a primary, couldn't they threaten states on other grounds (i.e. we will strip your delegates if you don't vote for card-check legislation).
If the DNC can ignore the results of Florida and Michigan's primary, can't Florida and Michigan ignore the results of the Democratic National Convention - i.e. put the winner of the primary (Hillary) on the ballot there?
